Symbaloo's were designed to provide a personal learning environment to use online resources that are shared in a "personalized webmix". It is an application that allows you to "bookmark" your favorite web links to one place. For all of us that are always searching the web and finding resources we want to refer to again, this is a great tool to organize all of them! Through Symbaloo you can create a custom grid like pattern of tiles that are links to the resources you have found. Everything can be customized, my site was designed for future teachers and students interested in teaching Special Education.

Glogster EDU or "Glogs" are a great way to engage students and promote creativity. According to the website, "it is the leading global education platform for the creative expression of knowledge and skills in the classroom and beyond." Glogs are basically personalized "posters" with a variety of creative outlets to customize looks with text, photos, videos, graphics, sounds, drawings, data attachments and more.
The focus of my Glog was Inclusion in the classroom. It provides a variety of resources available to implement Inclusion practices in the classroom. Creating Glogs are fun, easy and interesting. I can easily see how much students would enjoy this technology. Glogs would be a great activity for students, and what a great way to implement an assignment while encouraging their imaginations and enhancing their knowledge of the web.
Our instructor spoke to us about the importance of "visual literacy" in teaching. I agree that we must keep up with the current trends and allow students outlets they are familiar with or introduce them to technologies they will probably use in the future.
